Every main namespace page on ArchivesWiki is an Item, defined as such by the {{Item}} template or one of its children. An Item can be of one of the following types:

• Image
• Document
• Person
• Object
• Place
• Event

Each Item has a set of common metadata of Title (the page title; guaranteed to be unique), description, creator, and date. These are shown in the template code at right.
