My dear Mrs Hall

Words will not express the deep sympathy I feel for you and yours in your sad loss, ?(Eva) was staying with Mrs Maine (Mrs Teesdale sister). I wrote & told her, she was very much cut up, & went to see her off on Saturday she left for Melbourne ?(I) did not have much or any time to talk as I was rather late, having missed the train – which I almost always do – She spent a couple of day (sic) with me last week - !

I trust dear Mrs Hall you are keeping well. Please excuse this very short note, but I have such a bad eye & writing is making it worse, ?(Pls) write to me soon

Remember me fondly to Ernest & Aubrey & much love to self & ?(yours)

I am

Yours very sincerely

Ada McRae
