Copy of letter No. 11. from Sgt. Pilot Murray Wilson.

Blackpool
England.
Thurs.30th.Oct.'41

I'm just scrounging a little bit of time before we get into a lecture to start a letter to you, its two and a half weeks since I wrote and its been rocking my conscience for some time, but I hope you will forgive me. I don't seem to be able to do much about it during the week and the last two week ends I have been away.

Last week end I went with one of the boys - Bill Cooper - to his home in Glasgow and it was jolly good. For the first time since I have been away I sat around a fire and had a yarn about everything in general and a quiet family game of cards. That was on Sat. night I have been initiated into the good old Scottish game of Solo, but I'm thinking that I don't know it well enough to appreciate it yet, it doesn't seem as good as bridge, but maybe I haven't seen the light.

We got to Glasgow on Friday night and after some supper went to bed - a super bed it was too. On Saturday morning we went around the town and did a bit of shopping and had a general look around, but there was a very heavy fog until late afternoon so even now I don't know what the city looks like.
