Henry Hastings Hall to W S Hall, 10 February 1859

Feby 10th Sandhurst

My dear brother

On second consideration I think it better not to remit another pound as I proposed doing until I arrive in Melbourne, having sent the most of the cash down I may be short on the road I hope you received the £1 I forwarded to you on the 8th Inst I have sent my Chest by Stead and had intended to have gone to Castlemaine per coach this morning but was too late and so will walk to Tarradale today. I have nothing to say in particular, but have written a line as you, expecting a further remittance today would think it strange

Remember me to old Jim

and believe me Dear S

Your affect brother

H H Hall

I have left an IOU for £75.7.5 for you with Mrs Bracher, in case of anything happening to me you can recover

H H H

Drop me a line to the P O Melbourne.
