My dear brother

I have been so hindered by one & another that I have only time to acknowledge your two letters of 14th of May, & perhaps any remarks are unnecessary as I hope to see you so shortly — since I sold Woongong I have been leading a vagrant kind of life, principally in the country Anderton and self are now here I am going to build a cottage for him at Dedallah and put up some fencing, then I think he will be able to make a living I think with a little of my help Ander will be able to work his way round, and Frank may be all right if Yelverton & Co do not fail, but his affairs are depending on them to a considerable extent and I fear they will smash before long for some £15000 Lucy is staying at Cardup until the place is ready for her. I am laying out more than I would wish for A, but he will shortly sell some stock he can do without and give me the proceeds I have two men splitting and three grubbing but they will be started as soon as that work is done I have a good run in view but have not yet seen it ( in confidence) it is opposite old Turner's at Augusta I was disappointed by Geo Leake in some cattle he ought to have sold me, but never mind! L Leake is gone to Singapore. Unless you are desirous of trying your fortune still longer I shall expect you by the August Mail (overland) and if you like to stop at Saw’s Inn at Narragen, instead of going on to Perth you could leave your luggage there, walk on to Mr Lazenby’s at Cardup and they will find you a horse to come down here — As we have some running there. I send the duplicate Bill of Exchange to Mr Bracher by this mail — I hope the money I have sent you will be sufficient to clear you out of Victoria remember me to all friends, love to you all

Your ever affect bro'

H H Hall

Don't forget the two or three things I requested you to bring, in my last of the 16th of May — and if you can make it convenient bring me a small driving pick about 4 lbs weight — and bring back the little gold scales if you have not parted with them
