I was not aware until today that Mr W. S. Hall was your father, and I now hasten to convey to you my heartfelt sympathy in the [illegible]  loss you have sustained by his death. I sincerely trust you and your relations may be comforted in your great sorrow.

Notes

In 1895 the "Western Australian branch is situated in St. George's-terrace. The local directors are Sir George Shenton, D. Symon, J.P., and J. W. Bateman, JP.; and Mr. Geo. H. Johnston is the secretary."[1]
