Hilda's mother died in 1878 and by 1881 her father had remarried; they were living in Monk-Wearmouth with her two young stepbrothers. (S2) In 1901 she was married to Samuel Harrison and lived in Southport - he was a solicitor's clerk.[1]

Wrote to her brother Charles in South Africa c.1900.[2]
