Dear Aubrey

Many many thanks for the beautiful shells you so kindly sent me and which I value very highly, looking upon themas rare treasures.

I am sending by this mail a pin made from Coolgardie gold which I hope you will like and accept as a small remembrance from me. I wonder whether the little book of photos of Coolgardie scenes, which I posted last mail, has reached you. I tried to get some photos of Perth to send with them but there were none left.

Leslie came home for a fortnight on the 29th ultimo. He had all the symptoms of fever so, being too ill to work, got leave of absence. After he had been here a short time he got better, and, to my great regret, returned to Coolgardie on the 16th. I think he ought not to remain there, evidently the place does not suit his constitution he was so thin and looked so ill I was quite shocked and told him he ought to have come home long before. I think he works too hard, gives himself no rest or relaxation. His going there caused me great distress & anxiety. G Bracher accompanied him this time.

I suppose & hope your Mother and sister are enjoying their visit to the other Colonies very much. Your Uncle Hester I am told, has given up all idea of leaving the Park.

I am very sorry that Mr Stevenson has not been able to sell out and rejoin Flora, I hope he will soon do so.

Please remember me kindly to Eva Hall and all friends, and

Believe me

Yours sincerely

D Hall
