Your Worship--

Empire Day, 1908.

I desire to invite your co-operation in connection with the Celebration, which it is hoped will take place annually in your town, proposed to be held on the above day.

For your information I may state that I am arranging for Wednesday, 27th May, as the day on which these Celebrations should take place, as it is expected that His Excellency the Governor will return to the State on the 26th prox.

The Education Department are again taking up the matter and I trust you will see your way clear to act in a similar manner to the last occasion, when a gathering of the children was one of the principal features of the Celebrations, and the opportunity was taken to impress upon them the interests that bind the Empire together, the desirability of preserving it intact and of strengthening the bonds of unity, and the duty that devolves upon them of endeavoring the become worthy holders of so great a trust.

I have the honor to be,
Your Worship's obedient Servant,
H Gregory
Acting Premier

His Worship
The Mayor of Cossack
