Rose Ellen Leake was born in Adelaide.[1]

She married George Walpole Leake in September 1850, while he was in Adelaide studying law.[2] The moved to Western Australia not long after getting married.[2] They seven daughters and two sons[1] (or maybe only eight all up?[2]).

She was an invalid for many years[1] and died on 21 February 1888.[3] George went on to re-marry three years later (with whom he had another daughter).[2]
