July 22nd. 1943.

My dear Murray,

This is the first airgraph letter I have sent you, but there will be many more to follow.

I got your cable & was thrilled. You must have got a bunch of mail at that time.

I am very sad at the moment. Bob has been transferred to headquarters, Melbourne, and he has gone. I am thinking of taking a job. I know I am only one of thousands to lose my husband but that does not make it any easier for me.

Garrick is very well & is getting a big boy now. He is nearly as tall as I am & weighs about 8st. 7lbs.

I was at Adele's for lunch yesterday. They are all well. We are very glad about mother's new arrangement they are a nice couple.

Much love from us all

from Jean.

Jean Agew.
