My dear Murray,

Your airgraph received on Oct 21st Margaret had 2 & Jean and Adele each one. We were all glad to know that your operation had been successful, & that you were having a rest & time to write. Well, Rae's leave is nearly over. On Saturday she boards the train again for Melbourne. She will stay with the Aunts & Charlie for a while probably, and will then know if she returns to NG or is posted elsewhere.

It has just been a quite time here, but a very much needed rest for her, and we have all been so pleased to have her with us, & shall miss her greatly.

We have had several gatherings together, & tomorrow we shall all be together again. I hope you have quite recovered long before this & that there are no after effects. On Friday evening we are going to Adele's for dinner, and Margaret will come here on Saturday to take Rae to the train, she is very fortunate that the Austin is available, as transport is a difficult problem. Take care of yourself dear. With much love from us all. Yours ever lovingly,

Mother.
