My Dear Murray,

(P.S. Gordon arrives today (18th) for a few days leave.)

I am sorry to have been so long writing to you dear, I really do feel ashamed. We are pretty busy here now, and Garrick is in the middle of the swimming carnivals. So far he has won two Half[?]  Championships and broken the record for each and come second in two and third in one. There is no one of his age here who can beat him in freestyle or breast stroke. He is competing in the under 15 and 16 races. Broke the record in the under 15 breast stroke 220 yds.

Bob is still in Brisbane & young Bob has gone home, so the house is quiet again.

Mother, Adele, Marg, & I went to the Livingston's for afternoon tea today. It was very hot & we were glad to have the Austin take us as far as Adele's. Stuart has started school at St Mary's kindergarten in Nedlands, so Adele will be a lot more free now. He & Jim & I went crabbing on Monday and caught 12. We took a good snap of mother, I suppose she will send you one. Lots of love from us all dear & thank you for the housecoat. Love — Jean. JEAN AGNEW
