Born in about 1771.[1] Burgess or town officer of Perth, Scotland.[2][3] Held some office under the Town Council. Married Elizabeth Robertson[1] on 13 September 1790.[4] He had a large family of sons and daughters.
Died in Perth aged 66 on 22nd August 1832,[1] and buried at Greyfriars' Burial Ground on the 25th.[3] (Some texts give 21st August as death date, but there doesn't seem to be a source for that date.)
