In 1797 he was a quartermaster in the 1st or King's Regiment of Dragoon Guards.

Notes from Helen Margaret Wilson (née Hall): "Born 6–7 am 17 Jan 1754. Probably living at Yarmouth, Norfolk from about 1785 to 1793. In 1979 was a quarter-master in the 1st or King's Regiment of Dragoon Guards. Died at Shackerstone 9 Dec. 1841."
