Parents were Francis Eanley Walrond and Alice Mildred Walrond. Married Patricia on 21 April 1942 in Claremont. Clerk in the 2/16th Battalion 2AIF.[1] Died aged 28 on active service, 8 December 1942.[2] He was a Sergeant in the 2/16th Australian Infantry Battalion (service number WX3524).[3]

WALROND.—Killed in action in Dec., 1942, in New Guinea, John Dulford Walrond, second son of Francis Ernley Walrond, of Isipingo Beach, Natal.
