Born in Subiaco on 5 June 1913 to Ernest and Lynda Donegan,^[1] the eldest of three children.

Owned a Kodak Vollenda No. 48, a 3×4cm format^[2] camera which he traded for a larger model in Carnarvon.

He married Margaret Hall on 15 September 1936 in St Georges Cathedral in Perth.^[3] They had one daughter, in 1938.^[4]

Was present when Clyde Fenton was rescued in 1937, and took photos when the rescue party arrived [somewhere]^{[TODO – Find location.]}.^[5]

He died in an aviation accident on 18 January 1939 in Katherine in the Northern Territory.
