"Bapt. 29 Oct. 1727 at Baxterley. Educated at Appleby Grammar School and Trinity College, Cambridge. Married 15 Sept. 1749 at Congerstone. Appointed Vicar of Shackerstone on 5 Jan 1757. Said to have been a keen fox-hunter, and to have been 'led into many [illegible] extravagences by a debauched royal duke'. Died insolvent; curied at Baterley 24 April 1774.
