Born in Barhill, Ayrshire in 1839.[1] Birth date either 30 March[2]21 April[1]. Emigrated to Australia with her parents as a child.[3] Mary married William Wilson in North Melbourne[3] on 19 April 1864.[4] Buried in Boroondara Cemetery, Melbourne.[1]

Death notice, Western Mail 1 October 1925:[1][5]

WILSON.—On September 24, 1925, at her residence, Mere, Mont Albert-road, Canterbury, Victoria, Mary, widow of the late William Wilson, of Melbourne, and dearly beloved mother of W.G., A.O., R.C., and Agnew, of Sydney; Mamie and Margaret, of Melbourne; J.H. and C.M. of Perth, W.A., aged 82 years.
