Henry Hastings Hall was baptised on 6 May 1827 in Lambeth. He was eight when the family emigrated from Shackerstone to the Swan River Colony in 1830.

He bought 420 acres of land in Wongong from George and John Armstrong, in 1847. He sold it in 1860.

Died aged 58 in 1879, and buried at East Perth Cemetery.
